The Area Sales Manager (ASM) for the Southeast Region at Hitachi Energy USA Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the sales organization and customers throughout the sales process within a specific assigned area. This position reports directly to the Marketing & Sales Manager for Grid Components, focusing on products such as Instrument Transformers, Power Quality Products, Surge Arresters, and Disconnect Switches. The ASM is responsible for increasing both new and existing sales by actively supporting the sales organization and promoting Hitachi Energy products internally and externally. This includes conducting webinars, seminars, presentations, and Lunch & Learns to educate and influence customer specifications. In this role, the ASM will analyze customer needs and competitor offers by leveraging general market information and insights provided by the local sales organization. They will ensure efficient marketing actions and communication to both the local sales organization and customers. The ASM will prepare offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager, ensuring that all technical and financial aspects of offers are appropriately addressed, including pricing and trading conditions. Additionally, the ASM will manage administrative procedures in the sales processes and support collection and project management activities as needed. They will communicate the value proposition of Hitachi Energy's products, systems, services, and packages, while also providing competitive data on the market, products, and competitors. The ASM will report monthly sales activities, customer visits, and requests for sales forecasts, while living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for their actions while caring for colleagues and the business.
