About the position

The Area Sales Manager for the Southeast Territory is a key role focused on securing new business opportunities and maintaining existing relationships for Orenco Systems. This advanced-level sales position requires a strong technical background and involves collaborating with distributors and dealers to communicate essential business information. The role emphasizes achieving sales goals, developing market strategies, and providing exceptional customer service while promoting the company's mission of protecting the world's water.

Responsibilities

  • Secure new business opportunities and maintain existing relationships within the assigned territory.
  • Coordinate with the Account Manager and Regional Sales Manager to establish business plans and market strategies.
  • Utilize technical knowledge to assist customers in determining their needs and recommend appropriate products.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales goals and objectives.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and safe work practices among employees and clients.
  • Develop and implement territory plans in conjunction with Account Managers.
  • Increase Orenco's market reach and acceptance of products through effective communication and relationship building.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify needs, opportunities, and threats.
  • Provide training and support to business partners within the territory.
  • Document all customer interactions and tasks in the CRM system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or business field; a Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate professionally and courteously.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver effective technical presentations and interact with diverse individuals.
  • Willingness to travel an average of 3 days per week.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the water management or environmental industry.
  • Familiarity with state and local regulatory rules related to the industry.
