About the position

The Area Sales Manager at Terminix is responsible for enhancing the productivity of a designated group of sales colleagues. This role involves implementing training programs, mentoring team members, and collaborating with field leadership to maximize sales performance. The manager will oversee hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of the sales team while ensuring that performance metrics are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, onboard, train, manage & engage a team of frontline sales colleagues in the designated area.
  • Support collaboration between Sales and Operations within the territory to align goals and drive performance.
  • Lead weekly meetings with the team to monitor performance and focus on skill development.
  • Provide ongoing technical training on services offered in the assigned territory as needed.
  • Facilitate one-on-one debriefs with the team to improve communication and identify training needs.
  • Ensure the team meets or exceeds activity standards for Field Sales Colleague performance.
  • Monitor progress against revenue objectives and collaborate with Operations for APITDA realization.
  • Serve as a steward of the RentokilTerminix business model to ensure company programs are delivered with excellence.
  • Monitor, coach, and develop the team to provide effective growth and development.
  • Plan and organize job-related items for new hires.

Requirements

  • At least one year of Rentokil Terminix experience in the designated field.
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Skill with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents and regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information to groups.
  • Ability to perform basic business mathematics and analyze sales data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales management or leadership roles.
  • Familiarity with pest control industry practices.
