About the position

Eaton's North American Sales division is currently seeking an Area Sales Manager to join our team. This position is located in Tukwila, WA, and will focus on electrical distribution products in western Washington and Alaska. The Area Sales Manager will manage a customer base, sales resources, products, and channels to market to achieve planned results for the district. This individual will provide leadership and development to a sales team consisting of sales professionals, sales reps, and the distributor channel. Expected results include growth in sales and market share, channel development, and developing talent within the district. In this role, the Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing sales engineers in different markets, specifically in Western Washington and Alaska. The position requires the ability to navigate and cooperate with plant operations to meet and exceed customer urgent requests. The manager will also be tasked with developing employee talent to prepare the business for future success and growing existing channel relationships. A strong knowledge of managing products, product applications, and distribution channels is essential. The role demands negotiation skills, the ability to cope with ambiguity, work through complex problems, and manage conflict effectively. The Area Sales Manager will need to demonstrate remote sales team management and influence without authority in a matrix environment. The position requires a professional presence to command difficult sales situations and execute a compelling value proposition and strategy both internally and externally. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum seven (7) years electrical industry sales/marketing and/or engineering experience.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Manager of people experience.
  • 10+ years of electrical industry sales experience.
