About the position

The Area Sales Manager at Eurofins Scientific is responsible for developing and executing a territory business plan aimed at promoting and selling the Diatherix Eurofins product line. This role is crucial in meeting the territory sales targets for the assigned region and involves identifying and developing new client opportunities. The Area Sales Manager will utilize the Diatherix Eurofins sales approach to effectively sell products and educate customers on their value, demonstrating the return on investment (ROI) and the importance of collaboration to create applicable solutions. In addition to sales responsibilities, the Area Sales Manager must prioritize project planning, manage customer requests and deadlines, and maintain organized territory management. The role requires a thorough understanding of selling skills, sales forecasting, and budget tracking, as well as monitoring and evaluating competitive services and pricing. Effective communication is key, as the Area Sales Manager will deliver both oral and written communications coherently and work alongside marketing and other sales teams to develop and implement sales and marketing plans. Customer satisfaction is a central focus, and the Area Sales Manager must provide prompt resolutions to customer problems or concerns while upholding the Diatherix quality policy and compliance guidelines. Continuous personal development and learning are also emphasized, with attendance at required sales training, seminars, and trade shows being essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes a territory business plan.
  • Sells and promotes the Diatherix Eurofins product line to meet territory sales targets.
  • Identifies and develops new client opportunities.
  • Educates customers on the value of Diatherix Eurofins products and services.
  • Demonstrates ROI and value-added propositions to customers.
  • Monitors and evaluates competitive services, pricing, and other activities.
  • Delivers coherent oral and written communications.
  • Works with marketing and sales teams to implement sales and marketing plans.
  • Provides prompt resolutions to customer problems or concerns.
  • Takes ownership of personal development and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in biological sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, etc.) with strong quantitative skills.
  • 5 to 8 years of sales experience, ideally in healthcare, diagnostic, or medical sales.
  • Experience selling molecular diagnostics in the outpatient physician market is a plus.
  • Success calling on Pediatricians, GI, Family Practice, and Primary Care preferred.
  • Business to Business sales experience involving cold calling for new business is preferred.
  • Knowledge related to PCR, infection prevention and control, and antimicrobials is a plus.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
