About the position

This position is for a sales professional in a privately held medical device company that specializes in developing non-invasive surgical technology. The role focuses on capital sales within the Operating Room, targeting C-suite executives and key medical professionals to promote a novel sonic beam therapy system. The company is expanding its market presence in the U.S. and globally, particularly for liver treatments and other organ applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives and key medical professionals in the healthcare community.
  • Drive capital sales of the company's innovative surgical technology within the Operating Room.
  • Understand and navigate the capital sales cycle effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support product commercialization efforts in the U.S. and select global markets.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior sales staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in medical and capital sales within the Operating Room.
  • Experience in a start-up company selling disruptive surgical technology.
  • Strong local relationships within the healthcare community in specified geographic areas.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills through professional performance or involvement in sports or professional clubs.
  • Experience engaging with C-suite executives, with a preference for candidates with disruptive and robotics experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the capital sales cycle.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.

  • Experience with disruptive surgical technologies and robotics.
  • Established relationships with champion surgeons and interventional radiologists.
