About the position

The Area Sales Manager at Coors Distributing Company is responsible for managing the sales team in Denver, Colorado, ensuring that sales volume goals, budget management, and safety metrics are met. Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop assigned Sales Representatives and Route Relief staff through training and performance management.
  • Conduct monthly in-market training sessions with sales reps to enhance business practices and territory growth.
  • Address escalated concerns from retailers and maintain professional customer relationships.
  • Achieve established sales team objectives, including budget management and sales volume targets.
  • Ensure compliance with supplier standards and execute monthly business objectives.
  • Manage old beer inventory and conduct quality audits to ensure product standards are met.
  • Maintain a daily presence in the office and market, engaging with employees, retailers, and suppliers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of sales management experience, including leading teams of sales employees.
  • Knowledgeable in sales and marketing concepts used in the beverage industry.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze sales data to influence retailers and customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
