About the position

As the Area Sales Manager at Aloft Orlando International Drive, you will be responsible for managing accounts for a group of hotels, ensuring guest satisfaction while soliciting both past and new business. Your primary goal will be to achieve or exceed all revenue targets set for the hotels under your management. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, utilizing professional techniques to negotiate favorable terms and conditions that meet the needs of both internal and external customers. You will be expected to maintain strong relationships with key accounts, which is essential for increasing customer satisfaction and driving account revenue. In this position, you will also be tasked with interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, coaching, and supporting associates to ensure they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and align with HHM's core values. You will coordinate the participation of various departments in servicing accounts, ensuring that all aspects of solicitation and closing are thoroughly documented. Additionally, you will develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients, articulating the benefits of the hotel to close sales opportunities effectively. Your role will involve local travel to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel, and review competition, as well as representing the hotel at trade shows. You will also be expected to follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program, contributing to the company's commitment to environmental responsibility. Other duties may be assigned by management as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts for a group of hotels to achieve guest satisfaction and revenue goals.
  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates to ensure performance standards are met.
  • Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel to previous, current, and potential clients.
  • Use professional sales techniques to negotiate favorable terms and conditions for customers.
  • Manage accounts ensuring solicitation and closing processes are complete and documented.
  • Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts.
  • Maintain relationships with key accounts to increase customer satisfaction and revenue.

  • Articulate and leverage the benefits of the hotel to close sales opportunities.
  • Travel locally to conduct outside calls and promote the hotel.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related industry preferred.
  • Proven track record in sales required.
  • Previous hospitality sales experience preferred.
