About the position

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for providing hands-on sales expertise for assisted living communities. This role involves partnering with Executive Directors to utilize the MatrixCare Marketing lead database effectively, ensuring it is kept current. The Area Sales Manager is tasked with meeting or exceeding budgeted census, payer mix, and revenue goals by fostering professional relationships and educating referral sources about the services offered. Additionally, this position facilitates the move-in process and builds relationships with organizations related to senior housing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on sales expertise for appointed communities.
  • Partner with Executive Directors to utilize the MatrixCare Marketing lead database.
  • Meet or exceed budgeted census, payer mix, and revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources and organizations associated with senior housing.
  • Facilitate the move-in process for new residents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or Communications preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Retirement Community, Skilled Nursing Facility, or Assisted Living, preferably with Alzheimer's/Dementia Care.
  • 3-5 years of proven direct sales experience.
  • Knowledge of the Rules and Regulations for the Community and applicable move-in and move-out regulations.
  • Ability to serve as a positive role model and spokesperson.
  • Computer literacy.
