About the position

The Area Sales Manager at Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) is responsible for driving sales growth along the Western seaboard through a network of distributors, certified systems integrators, and OEMs. This role involves developing and supporting partnerships, penetrating target global accounts, and generating sales in the manufacturing and logistics industries. The position requires a strong technical background to provide in-depth product information and support to partners, while also managing customer relationships and participating in marketing events.

Responsibilities

• Develop sales through a network of partners including distributors, certified systems integrators, and OEMs.
• Support and develop distributors through the sales process, including project qualification and successful robot demonstrations.
• Establish new partnerships in the region and manage existing distributor relationships.
• Conduct visits to end customers and participate in PR and marketing events.
• Prepare and execute sales and marketing budgets.
• Focus on reporting, volume planning, and forecasting using existing reporting tools.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of sales experience in distribution and/or manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrable success in advising on or selling technical products.
• Highly motivated with strong energy and passion for sales.

Nice-to-haves

• Automation sales experience is a strong plus.
• Ability to create trust among dealers through long-term, methodical, and persistent effort.
