As the Area Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving profitable sales growth within a designated territory. This position is not just about managing; it is a working, in-field role that requires active participation in the sales process. You will be responsible for training both new and existing sales staff on a step-driven sales process, ensuring that they are equipped to meet the company's sales objectives. Your leadership will be crucial in promoting the growth of Patio Enclosures sunrooms and Stanek window products across all markets. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to identify successes and deficiencies within the sales organization. You will work together to establish effective sales processes that cultivate high-performance sales representatives at each location within your assigned area. Your responsibilities will also include supporting the hiring and training of new sales representatives, thereby building a robust sales force capable of achieving growth targets. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of training and education programs that enhance the skills and effectiveness of the sales team. This position requires significant travel, as you will need to visit all branches in Michigan, with travel expectations of up to 25 weeks per year. Your direct involvement in the field will allow you to monitor sales performance, conduct training sessions, and provide coaching to ensure that the sales team has the necessary resources to succeed. You will also be responsible for preparing action plans to improve sales performance and providing timely feedback to the RSM regarding individual and branch sales outcomes.
