About the position

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for all sales-related activities within the assigned region, focusing on delivering quality, building relationships, and fostering loyalty with customers. This role is crucial for increasing revenue and enhancing company profitability. Reporting directly to the Business Development Manager, the Area Sales Manager must possess a high level of knowledge and experience in engineered product sales, particularly within the Permian Basin Energy sector. A strong commitment to providing top-quality customer service is essential, as this position offers the opportunity to collaborate with global Oil and Gas teams and work within a project sales team to ensure customer satisfaction and the successful completion of sales projects. The successful candidate will be expected to exhibit tact and strong diplomatic skills when interacting with staff, customers, and suppliers. They will be responsible for delivering quality sales efforts that build loyalty with customers, ultimately resulting in increased revenue for the company. Additionally, the Area Sales Manager will identify, create, and execute high-level marketing and business development activities to effectively position Rotork's products and services in the market. This includes mapping accounts to understand the core of the buying decision and collaborating with allies and associates to ensure that the Rotork message aligns with company objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all sales-related activities within the assigned region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster loyalty.
  • Increase revenue and profitability for the company through effective sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with global Oil and Gas teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Oil & Gas sales, preferably in valve automation.
  • Engineering degree or technical diploma is an asset.
  • Strong existing business relations with customers at a senior management level in target industries.
  • Familiarity with techniques required to coordinate the sale of products and services on capital projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
