About the position

The Area Sales Manager at Secure Portable Buildings USA is responsible for overseeing all sales activities within a designated territory. This role involves managing existing sales locations, expanding business with new locations, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective sales strategies and team management. The position emphasizes the importance of teamwork, customer service, and achieving sales targets while providing opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Increase sales of portable storage buildings and carports through territory of sales locations by analyzing current sales and volume.
  • Schedule regular sales calls and location visits with sales associates and dealers, following up and holding locations accountable for targets.
  • Utilize product knowledge and sales training resources to effectively target new prospects and opportunities.
  • Set up, manage, and maintain 5-7 sales locations within designated sales territory.
  • Work with corporate office to execute sales location leases, set up the office and office materials, and order inventory displays.
  • Recruit and hire sales associates, conducting onboarding training as well as ongoing training and support.
  • Assist in the setup of new sales dealers or locations, including the creation of prospect lists and obtaining partner agreements.
  • Manage sales goals for each sales location in territory and contribute to new product ideas.
  • Maximize sales through intelligent inventory management, marketing, and sales associate and dealer training.
  • Accurately forecast sales results and trends for assigned territory and prepare timely sales information for company leaders.
  • Regularly interact and communicate with various internal departments to provide vital information for servicing sales associates and dealers.
  • Continuously monitor assigned territory and take corrective action to maintain and improve overall sales location performance.
  • Communicate with assigned sales locations regarding new products, company changes, and sales promotions.
  • Notify management team if an existing dealer is in jeopardy of discontinuing partnership or if issues remain unresolved.
  • Coordinate with each appropriate department to meet or exceed sales dealers' and locations' expectations.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and report to the organization on customer needs.

Requirements

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • 2 - 5 years sales experience with a proven record of outside/inside sales success.
  • Experience in objective selling and knowledge of the sales process.
  • Experience in relationship sales in the finance and rent-to-own industry is desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.
