About the position

The Area Sales Manager at Western Funding Inc. is responsible for increasing the number of funded deals by partnering with independent and franchise dealerships. This role requires a consultative sales approach to establish strong relationships with dealers, helping them understand how Western Funding's programs can enhance their business. The position involves significant travel and remote work, focusing on onboarding and managing dealer partnerships in the assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Present and communicate company products and services to all levels of management within Independent and Franchise Dealerships in person.
• Identify sales prospects and contact assigned accounts.
• Follow up on new leads and referrals from telephone calls for Independent and Franchise dealers.
• Develop, maintain, and grow current and potential dealer partners within the Independent and Franchise Dealer communities.
• Maintain constant and effective communication with dealer partners regarding current programs.
• Train dealers on proper documentation needed for fast funding of contracts.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• High School diploma or equivalent (required).
• College degree or equivalent work experience (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Automotive, Finance, and Sales.
• 1-2 years of previous experience in a challenging sales role with a proven track record of success.
• Clear and effective presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of warm calling, appointment setting, and sales techniques.
• Strong computer skills and adaptability to new technology.
• Results-oriented with the ability to align actions with company objectives.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

• Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
