About the position

The Area Sales Manager at Sirna & Sons Produce is responsible for driving sales growth and customer satisfaction in the assigned region. This role involves developing and executing marketing and sales strategies, acquiring new customers, and maintaining relationships with existing clients. The position requires collaboration with the sales team and management to ensure effective growth strategies are implemented while providing timely feedback to resolve customer concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales and growth goals that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop and execute marketing, sales, and merchandising strategies to generate profitable foodservice or retail sales.
  • Create effective strategies to acquire new customers while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Provide real-time data to the sales office, procurement team, and operations to resolve customer concerns quickly.
  • Make sales calls to current and prospective customers.
  • Collaborate with the McCartney Sales team and management to develop growth strategies.
  • Complete all administrative work and sales contact reporting in a timely manner.
  • Acquire new customers in accordance with objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent plus related specialized coursework.
  • At least 1 year of successful fresh produce wholesale or retail sales or related management experience.
  • Proficient in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and common email systems.
