About the position

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for providing hands-on sales expertise for appointed assisted living communities. This role involves partnering with Executive Directors to utilize the MatrixCare Marketing lead database effectively, ensuring it remains current. The Area Sales Manager is tasked with meeting or exceeding budgeted census, payer mix, and revenue goals by fostering professional relationships and educating referral sources about services offered. Additionally, the role includes facilitating the move-in process and maintaining relationships with organizations related to senior housing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on sales expertise for appointed communities.
  • Partner with Executive Directors to utilize the MatrixCare Marketing lead database.
  • Meet or exceed budgeted census, payer mix, and revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with organizations associated with senior housing.
  • Facilitate the move-in process for new residents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or Communications preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in a Retirement Community, Skilled Nursing Facility, or Assisted Living, preferably in facilities specializing in Alzheimer's/Dementia Care.
  • Three to five years of proven direct sales experience.
  • Knowledge of the Rules and Regulations for the Community and applicable move-in and move-out regulations.
  • Ability to serve as a positive role model and spokesperson.
  • Computer literate.
