The role involves leading and guiding the area sales team to promote TheKey's services, with an emphasis on achieving and exceeding revenue targets. In addition to leadership responsibilities, the Area Sales Manager will dedicate significant time to fieldwork, emphasizing coaching, mentoring, and professional development of the sales team. This includes accompanying Home Care Leaders (HCLs) on sales calls, providing real-time feedback, and managing a select number of key accounts to strengthen client relationships. Performance management is also a critical aspect of this role, with regular assessments of team members' performance to ensure accountability in surpassing growth Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The Area Sales Manager will guide the sales team in effectively targeting and engaging with the ideal client profile, working closely with the operations team to maintain and enhance TheKey's market position. This role requires analyzing market trends and the competitive landscape to inform sales strategies. Additionally, the Area Sales Manager will collaborate with operations to optimize client acquisition and retention processes, ensuring seamless integration of sales efforts with operational capabilities. Participation in company-wide initiatives and strategic meetings is essential, as the Area Sales Manager will represent the sales division and contribute to broader organizational goals. The use of CRM systems and data analytics will be crucial for managing sales activities and driving informed decisions. Responsibilities

  • Foster collaborative partnerships with operations and the sales team to devise and implement strategic growth initiatives within the area, ensuring the attainment of business objectives.
  • Lead and guide the area sales team in promoting TheKey's services, with a focus on meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key account partners, with a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.
  • Dedicate a significant portion of time in the field with the HCL team, emphasizing on-the-job coaching, mentoring, and professional development of the sales team.
  • Accompany HCLs on sales calls, providing real-time feedback and support to drive performance and improve client engagement.
  • Personally manage a select number of key accounts, aiming to exceed growth targets and strengthen client relationships.
  • Conduct regular assessments of team members' performance, ensuring accountability in surpassing growth Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and achieving set goals.
  • Recognize and nurture high-potential individuals within the team, providing comprehensive support in areas such as onboarding, ongoing training, performance enhancement, and career progression.
  • Implement performance improvement plans when necessary, fostering a culture of continuous development and excellence.
  • Guide the sales team to effectively target and engage with the ideal client profile, aligning with company goals.
  • Work in tandem with the operations team to sustain and enhance our market standing as a leading, premium service provider.

  • Participate in community events and networking opportunities to promote TheKey's brand and services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders and community leaders.
  • Pursue ongoing professional growth and development opportunities within the company.
  • Participate in relevant training programs supported by TheKey.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a sales leadership role, preferably within the home care or healthcare industry.
  • Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a focus on field-based coaching and development.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable sales strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of French is required for positions permanently located in Quebec to communicate with colleagues and suppliers as necessary.
  • Knowledge of English is required to communicate with clients, partners, and colleagues predominantly located outside Quebec.
