About the position

The Area Sales Manager at Eurofins USA Clinical Diagnostics is responsible for developing and executing a territory business plan aimed at promoting and selling the Diatherix Eurofins product line. This role is crucial in meeting the territory sales targets for the assigned region and involves identifying and developing new client opportunities. The Area Sales Manager will utilize the Diatherix Eurofins sales approach to educate customers on the value of the products and services offered, demonstrating the return on investment (ROI) and the value-added propositions that come with partnering with Eurofins. In addition to sales responsibilities, the Area Sales Manager will prioritize project planning, manage customer requests and deadlines, and ensure organized territory management. This includes delivering coherent oral and written communications, collaborating with marketing and other sales teams to implement effective sales and marketing plans, and maintaining a strong commitment to customer satisfaction by promptly resolving any customer issues. The role also emphasizes personal development and continuous learning, with attendance at required sales training, seminars, and trade shows being essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, particularly in the healthcare or diagnostics field, and will be expected to manage a large territory independently while achieving sales growth and maintaining existing accounts. This position is full-time and remote, with a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and may require overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory business plan.
  • Sell and promote the Diatherix Eurofins product line to meet territory sales targets.
  • Identify and develop new client opportunities.
  • Educate customers on the value of Diatherix Eurofins products and services.
  • Demonstrate ROI and value-added propositions to customers.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of selling skills, sales forecasting, and budget tracking.
  • Monitor and evaluate competitive services, pricing, and other activities.
  • Deliver coherent oral and written communications.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to implement sales and marketing plans.
  • Provide prompt resolutions to customer problems or concerns.
  • Uphold the Diatherix quality policy and compliance guidelines.
  • Take ownership of personal development and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in biological sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, etc.).
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of sales experience.
  • Experience selling molecular diagnostics in the outpatient physician market is a plus.
  • Ideally, experience in healthcare, diagnostic, or medical sales.
  • Success calling on Pediatricians, GI, Family Practice, and Primary Care preferred.
  • Prefer Business to Business sales experience involving cold calling for new business.
  • Knowledge related to PCR, Infection prevention and control, and antimicrobials is a plus.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
