About the position

The position involves selling the breadth of the Molding Solutions product portfolio and growing market share in assigned territory/account targets. The primary focus is on developing new accounts while maintaining and growing existing relationships to achieve sales goals and execute sales plans. The role requires developing customer relationships to sell the full portfolio of Molding Solutions products and services, ensuring exemplary customer service is provided. Additionally, the position involves managing direct customer accounts and distributors, providing support within the assigned region, and maintaining detailed records through Sales Force CRM tools. The candidate will also negotiate pricing, participate in trade shows, and coordinate with support personnel to meet sales objectives and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Sell the breadth of the Molding Solutions product portfolio.
  • Grow market share in assigned territory/account targets.
  • Achieve sales goals and execute sales plans within assigned territory.
  • Develop customer relationships to sell full portfolio of Molding Solutions products and services.
  • Maintain deep and successful business relationships throughout the customer's organizations.
  • Manage and provide support to direct customer accounts and distributors.
  • Maintain a regional summary on customer profiles and correspondence through Sales Force CRM tools.
  • Negotiate the best value for products and services sold.
  • Participate in trade shows to support sales objectives and follow up on leads generated.
  • Coordinate with support personnel to build a team approach for sales objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Present Molding Solutions capabilities and adhere to Barnes Code of Ethics.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience preferred but not required.
  • Up to 5 years of hands-on consultative and technical sales expertise in the Injection Molding Industry.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal procedures and instructions from customers.
  • Ability to understand product design, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Strong PC aptitude in a Windows environment and experience with Sales Force CRM Software.
  • Ability to interpret customer concepts and make appropriate application suggestions.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Plastics Engineering (preferred) or demonstrated years of injection molding, tooling and sales experience.
