About the position

The Area Sales Manager at Global Lending Services (GLS) is responsible for expanding the company's market share by signing new dealers, developing existing relationships, and increasing awareness and adoption of the company's lending programs. This role involves working remotely within a designated market and requires extensive travel to meet with dealers and capture business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Expand the company's market share by signing new dealers.
• Develop existing relationships with dealers.
• Increase awareness and adoption of the company's lending programs.
• Educate dealers on all aspects of the lending programs and how to maximize their value.
• Partner with operational teams to capture quality business from existing dealers.
• Make regular dealer visits, cold calls, and take inbound calls to build relationships and capture business.
• Maintain high-quality customer satisfaction and retention of dealers.
• Complete and submit documentation to track and assess established goals.
• Foster a collaborative culture to achieve business plan objectives.
• Participate in special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Three years' experience in auto finance, preferably with sub-prime auto financing experience.
• Three years' experience in sales, preferably in the auto industry.
• Knowledge of the local market with established customer relationships is preferred.
• Intrinsically motivated with the ability to take initiative and implement improvements.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to influence others and manage conflict.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new applications quickly.
• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the auto industry is preferred.
