About the position

The Area Sales Manager at Eurofins Scientific is responsible for developing and executing a territory business plan to promote and sell the Diatherix Eurofins product line. This role focuses on meeting sales targets, identifying new client opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution. The position requires a strong understanding of sales strategies and the ability to work independently while managing a large territory.

Responsibilities

  • Sells utilizing the Diatherix Eurofins sales approach.
  • Educates customers on the value of Diatherix Eurofins products and services, demonstrating ROI and value-added propositions.
  • Develops and demonstrates a thorough understanding of selling skills, sales forecasting, and budget tracking.
  • Monitors and evaluates competitive services, pricing, and other activities.
  • Delivers coherent oral and written communications; collaborates with marketing and sales teams to implement sales and marketing plans.
  • Provides prompt resolutions of customer problems or concerns, upholding Diatherix quality policy and compliance guidelines.
  • Takes ownership of personal development and continuous learning; attends required sales training, seminars, and trade shows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in biological sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology) with strong quantitative skills.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of sales experience, ideally in healthcare, diagnostic, or medical sales.
  • Experience selling molecular diagnostics in the outpatient physician market is a plus.
  • Success calling on Pediatricians, GI, Family Practice, and Primary Care preferred.
  • Prefer Business to Business sales experience that involves cold calling for new business.
  • Knowledge related to PCR, Infection prevention and control, and antimicrobials is a plus.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
