About the position

The Area Sales Manager plays a crucial role in driving sales for multiple hotel properties within the ZMC Hotels Group, specifically focusing on the Hampton Inn and Best Western Plus in Goldsboro, NC, and the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Savannah, GA. This position involves collaborating with the revenue management team and hotel general managers to identify and secure corporate accounts, individual clients, and group bookings, thereby promoting hotel guest rooms and meeting spaces effectively.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sales opportunities through cold calls weekly.
• Conduct maintenance visits with top accounts monthly.
• Manage specific markets including corporate accounts, government, and FITs.
• Attend local activities and functions to represent the hotel.
• Handle incoming sales calls and conduct property tours with potential customers.
• Maintain an organized filing system of accounts and complete all necessary sales paperwork.
• Communicate bookings and customer needs to onsite hotel employees.
• Participate in monthly sales meetings with new ideas and sales opportunities.
• Uncover new sales business in neighboring cities.

Requirements

• 1 year of hospitality sales experience.
• Valid driver's license and insurance.
• Effective communication skills in writing, telephone, and personal meetings.
