About the position

Western Funding, a dynamic and fast-growing auto finance company, is seeking an Area Sales Manager to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. This full-time position is primarily remote, with the expectation of traveling up to 75% of the time to visit auto dealers. The Area Sales Manager will serve as the face of the company to our dealer partners, focusing on increasing the number of funded deals by establishing strong relationships with both independent and franchise dealerships. This role requires a consultative sales and management approach, where the Area Sales Manager will identify, onboard, and manage growth with dealers in their respective regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for presenting and communicating our products and services to all levels of management within dealerships, identifying sales prospects, and following up on new leads and referrals. Effective communication with dealer partners regarding current programs is essential, as is training dealers on the documentation needed for fast funding of contracts. New hire training will be provided to ensure that the Area Sales Manager has the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in the field. As part of our External Sales Team, you will be supported by a positive and encouraging team environment that fosters overcoming sales barriers and achieving success. We are looking for individuals who are results-oriented, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and have a working knowledge of the automotive and financial services sectors. Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in Spanish, are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Present and communicate company products and services to all levels of management within Independent and Franchise Dealerships in person.
  • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts assigned to you.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from telephone calls for Independent and Franchise dealers.
  • Develop, maintain, and grow current and potential dealer partners within the Independent and Franchise Dealer communities.
  • Maintain constant and effective communication, via phone calls or in person, with dealer partners on current programs.
  • Train dealers in Western Funding, including proper documentation needed for fast funding of contracts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in a challenging sales role with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of Automotive, Finance, and Sales.
  • Previous experience in the Financial Services Sector or within a Car Dealership.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of warm calling, appointment setting, and sales techniques.
  • Strong computer skills and adaptability to new technology.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to work independently and in a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
