About the position

As an Area Sales Manager at Western Funding, you will play a crucial role in the company's mission to assist dealer partners throughout North America. This position is designed for individuals who possess the vision and dedication necessary to help our dealer partners sell more vehicles by financing more customers. You will be the face of the company to our primary customers—our dealers. Your primary focus will be to increase the number of funded deals by establishing partnerships with dealers that align with our business model. This role requires a consultative sales and management approach, emphasizing the importance of building strong relationships with dealers to facilitate their growth through our financing programs. In this full-time position, you will report directly to the Regional Sales Managers and will be expected to work remotely and travel extensively within your designated region. New hire training will be provided to equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in the field. You will be part of a supportive team that encourages overcoming sales barriers and achieving success. Your responsibilities will include presenting and communicating our products and services to dealership management, identifying and contacting sales prospects, following up on leads, and training dealers on the documentation required for fast funding of contracts. Effective communication with dealer partners will be essential to maintain and grow these relationships. The role demands a proactive approach to sales, with a focus on developing and nurturing current and potential dealer partners within the Independent and Franchise Dealer communities. You will need to be comfortable with a high level of travel, as visiting auto dealers will be a significant part of your job. This position offers a performance-based compensation package, with a base pay of $2,000 per month and the potential for significant commissions based on your sales performance.

Responsibilities

  • Present and communicate company products and services to all levels of management within Independent and Franchise Dealerships in person.
  • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts assigned to you.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from telephone calls for Independent and Franchise dealers.
  • Develop, maintain, and grow current and potential dealer partners within the Independent and Franchise Dealer communities.
  • Maintain constant and effective communication, via phone calls or in person, with dealer partners on current programs.
  • Train dealers in Western Funding, including proper documentation needed for fast funding of contracts.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • High School diploma or equivalent (required).
  • College degree or equivalent work experience (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Automotive, Finance, and Sales.
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in a challenging sales role with a proven track record of success.
  • Clear and effective presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of warm calling, appointment setting, and sales techniques.
  • Strong computer skills and adaptability to new technology.
  • Results-oriented, with a focus on getting things done in alignment with company objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
  • Comfortable traveling up to 75% of the time.
