About the position

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and developing partnerships along the Western seaboard, focusing on distributors, certified systems integrators, and OEMs within the manufacturing and logistics industries. This role involves supporting existing distributors, penetrating target global accounts, and generating sales through effective communication and technical support.

Responsibilities

  • Establish new partnerships (distributors, integrators, OEMs, Global Account End Users) in the region.
  • Support existing distributors through the sales process (Qualify Project, Successful Robot Demo, Proof of Concept, Integration).
  • Conduct visits to end customers.
  • Participate in PR and marketing events.
  • Prepare and execute on sales and marketing budgets.
  • Manage customer relationships and develop continual knowledge about our customers.
  • Build rapport with key decision makers.
  • Focus on reporting, volume planning, and forecasting.
  • Utilize existing reporting tools for customer visits, contract management, and budgeting.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years' sales experience (distribution and/or manufacturer).
  • Automation sales experience is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrable success in advising on/selling technical products.
  • Highly motivated with infectious energy and passion.
  • Ability to create trust among dealers through long-term, methodical, and persistent effort.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or other technical discipline.
