About the position

ANDRITZ SEPARATION is seeking an Area Sales Manager to service and grow the Installed Base of equipment within the assigned territory. This role involves selling repair services, refurbishments, upgrades, parts, process optimization, and equipment training across all ANDRITZ Separation product lines, which include centrifuges, belt filter presses, screens, and ancillary equipment. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for maintaining and developing customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and effectively communicating with in-house personnel. This position requires regular customer visits to foster business growth and maintain an established customer base while also developing new relationships. The Area Sales Manager will report to the Regional Service Sales Manager and collaborate closely with various Service Center Managers and Product Specialists to coordinate ANDRITZ activities in each account. The successful candidate will be tasked with preparing area forecasts, budgets, and cost controls, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of key account sales strategies and tactics. They will also be responsible for documenting customer visits through CIC reports in a timely and consistent manner, ensuring that all product lines are represented during customer interactions. This role is critical in passing on sales opportunities and leads to the ANDRITZ Capital Sales group, thereby contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Service and grow the Installed Base of equipment in the assigned territory.
  • Sell repair services, refurbishments, upgrades, parts, process optimization, and equipment training.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to grow the business.
  • Maintain active communications with in-house personnel.
  • Document customer visits in writing via CIC reports in a timely manner.
  • Represent all assigned product lines during customer visits.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the Area.
  • Prepare area forecasts, budgets, and cost controls.
  • Maintain established customer base and develop new relationships.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of key account sales strategies and tactics.
  • Assist in coordinating ANDRITZ activities in each account.
  • Pass on sales opportunities/leads to the ANDRITZ Capital Sales group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience, including team leadership.
  • Proven experience in the Municipal Industry - Water & Wastewater.
  • Established relationships with customers in the area preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, strategies, and practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight travel.
