About the position

The Area Sales Manager at Bluemercury, Inc. is responsible for leading a team to enhance customer beauty experiences across multiple store locations. This role emphasizes exceptional service, product knowledge, and expert beauty advice while driving sales and optimizing customer interactions. The Area Manager will serve as the Store Manager in their home store and oversee several nearby stores, ensuring a client-first service model is upheld throughout the team.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate consistent team and individual communication to ensure collective knowledge among team members.
  • Inspire and empower the team while holding them accountable to high standards.
  • Exemplify the client-first service model in all interactions and build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Analyze business performance and develop strategies to drive KPI success, including executing store-level event strategies.
  • Train and develop the team using coaching skills and performance management strategies.
  • Recruit top performers and plan for succession within the team.
  • Execute operational tasks proficiently, including scheduling, inventory control, and cost minimization.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of retail management experience, preferably in the beauty industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with team members and clients.
  • Ability to efficiently travel between locations on a weekly basis.
  • Time management skills to handle competing priorities across multiple locations.
