About the position

Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center is a state-of-the-art, full-service meetings and resort destination that caters to groups of all sizes, as well as families who are looking for a world-class experience in the epicenter of the premier sports and entertainment district in the country. Centrally located between Dallas and Fort Worth, the hotel is situated between iconic sports stadiums, Globe Life Field, home of the 2023 World Series Texas Rangers, and AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. The 888-room resort features five restaurants and lounges, two pools with an authentic sandy beach, cabanas and a water slide, as well as a fitness center, full-service spa and salon, and 266,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The Area Sales Manager will support the sales efforts for Loews Hotels by building and strengthening relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. This role involves promoting awareness to all markets via presentations and personal sales calls, maintaining communication with the NSO network, and other Loews hotels to achieve pre-determined revenue goals. The Area Sales Manager will negotiate contract specifics to achieve maximum profitability while satisfying customer needs and develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver revenue expectations in line with overall hotel budget.
  • Achieve annual goals as designated by ADOS.
  • Maintain efficient and timely processing of paperwork, files, and reports.
  • Develop strong working relationships with hotel department heads and operational areas.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports of sales calls and marketing actions as requested by ADOS.
  • Respond promptly to requests by ADOS or AADOS for reports and other assignments.
  • Actively prospect new business and secure repeat events.
  • Conduct site experiences and entertain potential and existing clients.
  • Attend networking functions and trade shows as needed to promote the hotel.
  • Develop and maintain an account base, as designated by ADOS, to achieve hotel revenue goals.
  • Be responsible for and implement a sales action plan for the development of the designated market segments.
  • Respond promptly to all inquiries and correspondence from clients, prospects, and lead referrals.
  • Execute sales calls and sales trips as designated.
  • Negotiate contract specifics to achieve maximum profitability while satisfying customer needs.
  • Be knowledgeable of local and national competitive hotels and marketing strategies.
  • Promote and sell to assigned market in defined geographic region or vertical segment.
  • Execute activities to include but not limited to sales calls, property tours, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
  • Develop and foster business (new and existing) through pro-active direct sales.
  • Promote local awareness through maintaining relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Identify potential new customers; develop strategies for increasing sales or market share.
  • Adhere to all Loews Hotels booking guidelines.
  • Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base.
  • Maintain communication/relationship with NSO Team and Loews Properties.
  • Support and promote all Loews Hotels Corporate programs to increase customer awareness.
  • Be a brand ambassador and reflect company values at all times.
