About the position

Revolution Brewing is seeking an Area Sales Representative to serve as the primary voice of the brewery in the Chicago Beverage Systems territory. This role involves building relationships with local bars and restaurants, promoting the brewery's products, and ensuring that fresh beers are available to consumers. The representative will spend 4.5 days a week in the market, utilizing sales data to strategize and communicate effectively with distributors and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Work with local distributors and retail partners to promote and sell Revolution Brewing's beers.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local bars and restaurants in the Chicago area.
  • Analyze sales opportunities using VIP to plan daily activities and maximize sales.
  • Drop off merchandise and beer to accounts to increase visibility and sales.
  • Participate in samplings and festivals to promote the brewery's products.
  • Follow up with accounts and report sales successes to the distributor.

Requirements

  • 1-7 years of experience working for a beer wholesaler or supplier in the Chicagoland market.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and sales planning.
  • Reliable transportation for travel around different neighborhoods in Chicago.
  • Experience in meeting sales goals and managing multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with IRI and Karma notes for data analysis.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver 35-pound cases and full kegs.
