About the position

Proper Hospitality is seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Senior Group Sales Manager to join our team and drive group sales across a number of our boutique luxury lifestyle hotels under "The Collective" brand. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing sales strategies that maximize revenue while establishing strong relationships with clients to ensure that each property meets its group sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the luxury hospitality market, excellent sales skills, and a proven track record of success in group sales management. In this position, the Area Senior Group Sales Manager will be responsible for creating comprehensive sales plans tailored for each property within the assigned region. This includes achieving group sales targets through effective planning and execution. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, such as corporate accounts, event planners, and travel agencies, is essential for success in this role. The manager will also conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and trends in the luxury hospitality industry, ensuring that our offerings remain competitive and appealing. Collaboration with the revenue management team is crucial to optimize pricing and inventory strategies, thereby maximizing revenue from group bookings. The Area Senior Group Sales Manager will lead and mentor on-property sales teams, ensuring alignment with area sales goals and strategies. Regular sales reports and analyses will be prepared to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights. Additionally, the manager will work closely with the events and operations teams to ensure the seamless execution of group events and functions, representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the brand and generate new business.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in group sales within the luxury hospitality industry, prior experience with a multi-property role is preferred
  • Proven ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies
  • Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in sales and CRM software
  • Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
