About the position

The Area Service Manager at Drucker and Falk LLC is responsible for providing maintenance support to various communities, particularly in situations where additional supervision is required or staffing is inadequate. This role involves assisting Regional Maintenance Coordinators and Property Managers with assessments, inspections, and job assignments, while also ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining high standards of resident relations. The position requires travel to designated communities as needed and may involve filling in as the Service Manager when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist Regional Maintenance Coordinators and Regional Property Managers with community assessments and management assignments.
• Responsible for job assignments during personnel changes, vacations, or illness.
• Organize work, set priorities, and delegate tasks with proper follow-up.
• Train and oversee work performed by all staff members under direction.
• Establish schedules and assign routine maintenance tasks to personnel.
• Perform necessary maintenance and repairs in apartments based on work orders.
• Ensure all work orders are completed within 24 hours.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and equipment storage area in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Monitor all O & M Programs to ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Complete and return Monthly Preventative Maintenance Sheets.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of related experience or training in maintenance.
• CFC, CPO, Lead and Asbestos certification required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-based maintenance systems.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
