About the position

The Area Service Manager (ASM) at HOH Water Technology is a leadership role responsible for overseeing a team of Service Engineers and Water Quality Engineers in the Detroit Metropolitan area. The ASM will ensure excellent service delivery to commercial and industrial customers while managing team performance, training, and service plans. This position combines technical expertise in water treatment with managerial responsibilities, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 4-7 Service Engineers/Water Quality Engineers.
• Manage individual performance and provide consistent feedback.
• Assess team capacity and advise on hiring needs.
• Provide necessary tools and training for team effectiveness.
• Create and execute annual service plans in coordination with business development.
• Hold the service team accountable to the HOH Service Core Process.
• Review quality and ensure timely delivery of service reports.
• Manage the service region's Profit/Loss statement and maintain profitability.
• Conduct regular audits of customer facilities and produce formal reports.
• Deliver technical and testing services to existing accounts.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in water treatment or related field.
• Relevant managerial experience is required.
• College degree in a science-related field is required.
• CWT Certification is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Must pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE), Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and Drug Screening.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
