This position requires a strong focus on driving reliability, product quality, and financial performance to achieve consistent sales growth. The Area Supervisor engages with General Managers and other managers daily, providing support and coaching to enhance their performance. Key focus areas for the Area Supervisor include establishing and reviewing guest satisfaction performance targets, improving sales and customer satisfaction, maintaining company standards in food safety and product specifications, and allocating budgets effectively. The role also involves recruiting, training, and motivating managers, ensuring compliance with national brand promotions, and conducting regular audits to uphold operational standards. The Area Supervisor must be prepared to visit restaurants frequently, including nights and weekends, to ensure that operational goals are met and that the highest levels of customer satisfaction are achieved. This position requires strong multitasking abilities and excellent time management skills, as well as the capacity to follow up on action plans to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of General Managers at 3-5 restaurants.
  • Help General Managers set restaurant goals and follow up on their progress.
  • Provide coaching and direction to improve restaurant performance.
  • Identify key business issues affecting performance and take immediate action.
  • Drive reliability, product quality, and financial performance for restaurants.
  • Engage in supporting and coaching GMs and other managers daily.
  • Establish and review store-specific guest satisfaction performance targets.
  • Improve sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain company standards in food safety and product specifications.
  • Allocate budgets to meet highest priority needs.
  • Reinforce new products and initiatives.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and motivate General Managers and other managers.
  • Evaluate compliance with national brand promotions.
  • Conduct monthly cash and security audits.
  • Conduct meetings with General Managers.
  • Ensure restaurant managers uphold Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC) standards.
  • Ensure restaurants meet or exceed operational goals through various metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with operational and company policies.
  • Ensure restaurants pass all company audits and health department inspections.
  • Develop managers to perform at the highest levels.
  • Execute operational plans effectively and efficiently.
  • Review operational reports and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Follow up daily on action plans to ensure improvements.

Requirements

  • Graduate of McDonald's Corporation - Hamburger University / ROLP.
  • Experience as a General Manager, Area Supervisor, District Manager, or Multi-Unit Ops Manager in a QSR for at least 2 years.
  • Ability to recruit, develop, and retain General Managers, Department Managers, Shift Managers, and Crew Members.
  • Strong relationship management skills to influence and build trust with varying styles and personalities.
  • Understanding of restaurant operations and proven ability to drive results through coaching.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent follow-up skills and ability to problem-solve.
  • Ability to sit, stand, drive, and travel for extended periods.
