About the position

The Area Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of multiple fast-paced restaurant locations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective staff management, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality dining experiences for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to meet customer demand.
  • Train, mentor, and develop staff to enhance performance and promote a positive work environment.
  • Handle cash management processes, including cash handling procedures and reconciliation of daily sales.
  • Oversee the Point of Sale (POS) system to ensure accurate transactions and reporting.
  • Provide exceptional hospitality to guests, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and quality presentation.
  • Supervise restaurant management and conduct meetings and store visits to ensure direction is implemented properly and all restaurants are operating consistently.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, advising and counseling Restaurant Managers on decision making and problem solving.
  • Conduct store reviews, certification reviews, and unannounced store visits as needed to evaluate the quality of service, friendliness, cleanliness, and management operations of each restaurant.
  • Conduct security/safety audits, and perform the duties associated with cash management to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
  • Accurately collect and process all daily, weekly, and period end paperwork as required by upper management.
  • Troubleshoot the profitability of each restaurant by monitoring daily, weekly, and period end sales and cost control figures, meeting with Restaurant Managers each period to review profit and loss statements, and setting goals for improvement.
  • Assist Restaurant Managers in executing local store marketing.
  • Analyze P&L to find opportunities for cost control.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in supervising staff in a restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures.
  • Familiarity with quick service fast food restaurant operations is essential.
  • Proficient in using POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
  • Excellent staff training abilities with a focus on team development.
  • Competence in cash handling and financial reporting processes.
  • Knowledge of coffee preparation and bar operations is a plus.
  • Outstanding hospitality skills with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
