About the position

The Area Supervisor is a key member of the Store Leadership team, responsible for overseeing a specific area of the store and managing general operations when acting as the Manager on Duty. This role involves ensuring a safe and secure shopping environment, supervising associates, maintaining merchandise presentation, and executing company operational processes. The Area Supervisor plays a vital role in delivering excellent customer service and supporting the company's commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates and maintain a friendly shopping environment.
• Open and close the store as needed.
• Ensure safety and security protocols are followed in the store.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and stockrooms.
• Execute and supervise company operational processes and merchandising standards.
• Engage with customers and associates to promote a positive shopping experience.
• Conduct loss prevention activities and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Train and coach associates on front-end operations and customer service standards.
• Manage the fitting rooms and ensure compliance with company policies regarding garment tags.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
