About the position

The Area Vice President (AVP) of Sales at Expedient is a key leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth in the Phoenix, Arizona market. This position combines strategic oversight with hands-on sales leadership, requiring collaboration with internal teams and a focus on achieving sales objectives. The AVP will leverage their extensive experience in IT services, cloud, and infrastructure to lead a team of sales professionals, develop sales strategies, and foster relationships within the local market.

Responsibilities

  • Attract, hire, educate, coach, motivate and retain consistently high-performing sales professionals.
  • Develop and consistently maintain a bench of qualified sales professionals.
  • Develop strategic performance plans for each team member and provide ongoing support to assist them in achieving their respective targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing and other functional teams in the planning and execution of account development strategies to increase sales.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting, planning and budgeting on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of successful IT solutions-based sales experience in cloud, data center infrastructure, and/or managed services in the Phoenix area.
  • 3+ years of a proven track record in successfully leading sales teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT or related discipline is highly preferred.
  • Established contacts and existing business relationships in the Phoenix market.
  • Solid experience in forecasting sales on a monthly/quarterly basis with a high degree of accuracy, and developing a sales team's overall go-to-market strategy.
  • Understands and applies outcomes-based selling and can develop the sales team accordingly.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline and sales funnel management disciplines.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent relationships with customers and partners in the Phoenix market.
