About the position

The Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is seeking a Facilities Project Coordinator to join their team. This position operates under the general supervision of a Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for developing and applying measured time standards as well as estimating costs for various facility maintenance, repair, remodeling, and capital improvement projects. Given the nature of the work, there is a strong emphasis on adhering to the standards set forth by the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD). The Facilities Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring that all projects meet regulatory requirements and are completed efficiently and effectively. The ARMC is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit teaching hospital located on a 70-acre campus in Colton, California. It is licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital features a regional burn center, a comprehensive stroke center, a level I trauma center, and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. As the primary teaching hospital for the California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), ARMC is committed to providing high-quality healthcare and education. In this role, the Facilities Project Coordinator will be tasked with managing and coordinating remodeling or minor capital improvement projects specifically for commercial or industrial buildings and offices. This includes responsibilities such as collecting bids, administering contracts, scheduling contractors, and following up on work in progress. The ideal candidate will have experience in a healthcare setting and possess knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply measured time standards for facility maintenance and repair projects.
  • Estimate costs for remodeling and capital improvement projects.
  • Collect bids and administer contracts for various projects.
  • Schedule contractors and follow up on work in progress.
  • Ensure compliance with standards regulated by the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD).
  • Coordinate minor capital improvement projects for commercial or industrial buildings.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience managing and/or coordinating remodeling or minor capital improvement projects for commercial or industrial buildings and offices.
  • Experience must include collecting bids, administering contracts, scheduling contractors, and following up on work in progress.
  • A valid California driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience within a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
