About the position

The Armed Guard position at SJI and Associates, LLC involves ensuring the safety and security of clients, employees, and property. The Armed Guard will monitor various settings, enforce security protocols, and act as a visible deterrent against potential threats.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as necessary.
• Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems and other monitoring equipment.
• Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Provide assistance during conflicts or disturbances, utilizing conflict management techniques.
• Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure safety and security.
• Maintain proficiency in the use of firearms and other security equipment as required.

Requirements

• Valid certification in armed security or law enforcement is preferred.
• Experience with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention strategies.
• Strong conflict management skills to handle various situations effectively.
• Military background or training is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure while making sound decisions quickly.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential threats.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, staff, and law enforcement personnel.

• Full-time and part-time positions available.
• Pay range of $14.00 - $15.00 per hour.
