About the position
The Armed Security Guard position at Silver Star Protection Group involves providing security services for high-risk, high-value assets. The role requires a valid OPOTA license and the ability to carry a firearm while ensuring the safety and security of assigned locations. The position is part-time and includes responsibilities such as monitoring surveillance systems, conducting patrols, and assisting in emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Perform security patrols of external and internal areas of locations.
- Monitor surveillance and security alarm systems.
- Provide assistance to business owners in emergency situations.
- Keep detailed logs and records of incidents at assigned locations.
- Other duties assigned by Silver Star Protection Management.
Requirements
- Valid OPOTA license (REQUIRED)
- Must own a firearm to use for duty (REQUIRED)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current driver's license and dependable transportation
- Ability to obtain a Cultivation/Dispensary Identification Card
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
Nice-to-haves
- Military or law enforcement background preferred
- 1 year of customer service experience (Preferred)
- 1 year of armed security experience (Preferred)
