About the position
Oak Security Services LLC is seeking dedicated and responsible armed security guards to join our team in Lincoln Park, MI. This part-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16 to $18, depending on experience and qualifications. The role requires guards to provide security services to various retail locations throughout the Metro Detroit area, ensuring the safety and protection of clients and their assets. Guards will be scheduled based on location, availability, and current company contracts, with shifts primarily on weekends. The expected hours are no less than 15 per week, with additional hours available on Saturdays and Mondays for those looking to pick up extra shifts. The working hours for this position are as follows: Fridays from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm, Saturdays from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm, and Sundays from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Security guards will be required to perform various duties, including mobile patrols, foot patrols, and standing posts for durations of at least two hours at a time. The company will provide a uniform shirt, belt, and hat, but guards must supply their own all-black relaxed fit dress pants or tactical pants and all-black shoes. Training will be provided for all sites that guards are eligible to work, ensuring they are well-prepared to handle their responsibilities effectively. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and pass a state background check. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are also required. While prior security experience is preferred, it is not mandatory as training will be provided. A working smartphone is necessary for communication and scheduling purposes, and candidates must be able to stand for extended periods and document any incidents or suspicious activities clearly and concisely.
