About the position

The Armed Security Officer position at Crane Currency is a critical role focused on ensuring the safety and security of the facility and its assets. This position involves monitoring access control, responding to emergencies, and enforcing safety policies to create a secure workplace for employees and customers. The officer will engage in various security operations, including surveillance, incident reporting, and emergency response, while also participating in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access control, intrusion detection, and surveillance systems and investigate unusual activity.
• Prevent unauthorized access to the premises by engaging in Security Questioning or contacting local law enforcement.
• Use non-deadly force or firearms for self-defense or defense of another person per policies and procedures.
• Inspect all outgoing parcels and track the receipt of secure material shipped from the facility.
• Perform interior and exterior visual patrols, reporting vulnerabilities, potential hazards, unusual findings, or ideas for improvements.
• Comprehensive incident reporting of unusual activity and investigative outcomes.
• Enforce all safety and security policies and procedures and report violations to the Security Supervisor.
• Provide basic medical care and facilitate access for Emergency Responders in the event of an emergency.

Requirements

• 1 - 2 years of experience in armed security, military, or law enforcement or an associate degree or higher in criminal justice or related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Basic 1st Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Armed Guard License in State of NH.
• Basic computer skills.
• High energy with the ability to prioritize and multi-task many activities at the same time.
• Ability to display confidence and be adaptive in a rapidly changing environment.
• Strong conflict management and conflict resolution skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of CCTV, premise alarm protection, and access control systems preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
