About the position

The Armed Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of client property and personnel at assigned sites. This role involves monitoring activities, controlling access, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a secure environment through various security measures and protocols. The officer must demonstrate professionalism and provide high-quality customer service while performing their duties.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities and incidents at the assigned client site.
• Control access to the client site or facility, preventing unauthorized entry.
• Respond to unusual or emergency situations using appropriate escalation of force, including armed response.
• Provide courteous and respectful interactions with clients and visitors.
• Monitor entrances and exits, controlling the movement of people and vehicles.
• Patrol assigned site on foot or in a vehicle, checking for unsafe conditions and security violations.
• Protect evidence or scenes of incidents during emergencies or investigations.
• Prepare logs or reports as required for the site.
• Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity to appropriate authorities.
• Respond to various incidents such as fire, medical emergencies, and hazardous materials.

Requirements

• Must have current ACT235 certification.
• Must have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of customer service experience and 6 months of security/military/law enforcement experience required.

• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Ability to maintain professional composure in unusual circumstances.
• Good organizational skills and ability to provide high-quality customer service.
