About the position
The Armed Vault Teller position at Loomis Armored US, LLC in Knoxville, TN, offers a part-time opportunity with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour. The role is primarily focused on the management of vault cargo items, which includes receiving, verifying, sorting, dispersing, and maintaining an inventory of these items. The position is scheduled for the PM shift, starting at 1:30 PM and continuing until close, with part-time hours available from 5 PM to 10 PM. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and security of cash and coin handling within the vault environment. As an Armed Vault Teller, you will be responsible for checking identifying numbers or seals on bags of deposits and change shipments against accompanying receipts. This includes counting items, recording amounts and serial numbers, and signing and dating receipts and manifests. The job also involves physically loading and unloading wagons or flatbed carts with bags and boxes of coin and currency, which can weigh an average of 50 lbs. per item. Sorting individual cargo items by route and communicating effectively with co-workers and customers via telephone are also essential functions of this role. The working conditions for this position involve working in a vault with limited exposure to outside light. Full-time schedules may consist of an average of 40 to 50 hours per week, typically requiring a minimum of 5 days of work within a 6-day period. Additionally, candidates must complete a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) as part of the qualification process for the Vault Custodian position, which includes testing in various areas to ensure suitability for the role.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing an average of 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash and inventory.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
