About the position

The ARMHS Practitioner role at BeechWood, Inc. involves providing home and community-based mental health rehabilitative services to clients. The position focuses on promoting psychiatric stability, enhancing social functioning, and developing independent living skills through instruction, support, and coaching. Practitioners will engage with clients from an empowerment and strength-based perspective, and will be responsible for completing various assessments and documentation under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual mental health rehabilitative services to clients.
• Engage with clients from an empowerment, strength-based perspective.
• Develop trusting and therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Complete Diagnostic Assessments under supervision of a Mental Health Professional.
• Complete Functional Assessments, Individual Treatment Plans, and progress notes.
• Participate in weekly individual and group clinical supervision.
• Utilize skills from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and other evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate and develop groups for clients.
• Coordinate services with case managers and other mental health providers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university.
• At least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in clinical services for adults with mental illness or children with emotional disturbances.
• Strong advocacy skills and social justice orientation.
• Cultural competence and commitment to reflective practice.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with a clear driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in behavioral sciences or related field or current Master's Degree student.
• Experience in ARMHS service delivery.
