About the position

Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is seeking a Mission Engineer to support the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) Human Machine Integrated Formations (HMIF) Project Office. The HMIF Project Office is tasked with collaboratively developing two complex HMIF formations: one integrated formation for an Armor Brigade Combat Team (BCT) and another formation for an Infantry BCT within a 27-month timeframe. The Mission Engineer will play a crucial role in this initiative by collaborating with system users, requirements owners, and developmental contractors to translate operational mission requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements that will support the prototyping of the HMIF Armor and Infantry BCT formations. This position serves as a vital bridge between the HMIF pilot and the operational requirements, ensuring that all aspects of the project align with the intended mission objectives. The Mission Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, scheduling, and providing engineering and technical support activities that are applicable to systems development and capability integration, as directed by the Mission Engineering Team Leads. This includes managing communications between the Mission Engineering working group and the various engineering working groups involved in the project. The engineer will collect information and Requests for Information (RFIs) from the engineering groups, assembling and formatting this information as required. Additionally, they will translate operational vignettes, Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), and mission threads into a clear engineering scope, providing expertise in linking these operational elements into modeling and simulation environments. The Mission Engineer will also prepare recommendations, updates, and briefings for the Mission Engineering Working Group Leads as directed, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
