About the position

The Arolax Theme - WordPress Web Developer will be responsible for building and customizing WordPress websites, ensuring they are user-friendly and meet client specifications. This role involves collaboration with design and content teams to create high-quality web solutions that adhere to industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Convert PSD/Figma designs into fully functional WordPress websites.
• Customize existing themes to meet the needs of clients.
• Integrate and configure third-party plugins and APIs.
• Optimize website performance for speed, scalability, and SEO.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve website issues.
• Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers to achieve project goals.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in WordPress and web development.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a WordPress Web Developer (portfolio required).
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Experience with responsive and mobile-first design.
• Proficient in customizing WordPress themes and developing custom plugins.
• Familiarity with website optimization techniques, including caching, minification, and image compression.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Understanding of SEO best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and AJAX.
• Familiarity with WooCommerce development.
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Experience in integrating third-party services such as payment gateways and social media platforms.
