About the position

The ARPA-H Proactive Health Acquisition and Development Advisor will support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) by providing scientific and technical advice to enhance the agency's research and development efforts. This role involves guiding program initiatives, collaborating with diverse teams, and communicating complex scientific concepts to various audiences, all aimed at advancing healthcare innovation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an acquisition and development advisor for the Proactive Health Office (PHO).
• Advise and guide program initiatives related to acquisition and development.
• Collaborate effectively with computational scientists, engineers, and other scientific advisors.
• Communicate complex scientific concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and problem-solving exercises to drive the program forward.

Requirements

• MS in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in acquisition and development.
• Demonstrably strong expertise in acquisition and development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and a passion for healthcare and scientific discovery.
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in prize challenges with a focus on health innovation.
• Three years or more experience within a Federal ARPA organization.
• Two years or more experience in Federal Healthcare and/or Scientific Consulting.
