About the position

The Art Director for Public Relations & Marketing at Lakeland Regional Health is responsible for creating, designing, and overseeing marketing materials that effectively communicate the services offered by the medical center. This role involves collaborating with the marketing team to ensure all materials align with brand standards, conducting design trend research, and managing both in-house and outsourced graphic design projects. The Art Director plays a crucial role in maintaining the visual identity of the organization and enhancing community engagement through effective marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and manage the overall look and feel of the Lakeland Regional Health brand.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure marketing materials support brand messaging, content, and goals.
  • Concept and create brand campaign communications.
  • Direct and conceptualize photo and video shoots.
  • Coordinate creative materials with external services and contractors to ensure brand guidelines are being met.
  • Conduct design trend research and reporting.
  • Train team members on branding best practices.
  • Review all creative materials produced by the marketing team and contractors before distribution.
  • Manage content including file storage, systems, and delivery of assets.
  • Create and design various materials for print and digital collateral, including billboards, web pages, and marketing collateral.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Create deliverables within design specifications and budget restrictions.
  • Coordinate with outside agencies, art services, other designers, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Mass Communications, Art, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of graphic design experience.
  • Highly proficient with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Photoshop.
  • Proficient in web design programs and experience with online website content management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and work on multiple project assignments.
