About the position

The Art Director at Shiseido will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and creative direction for assigned brands. Reporting directly to the Executive Creative Director, the Art Director will be responsible for developing and executing innovative campaigns, print media, and digital content across various platforms. This position requires a thorough understanding of the digital landscape, enabling the Art Director to provide a clear vision for content execution that aligns with brand strategies and objectives. In this role, the Art Director will leverage their expertise in photography and videography to support photoshoots and ensure high-quality visual content. They will be responsible for the entire creative process, from concept development to shooting (both video and stills) and final execution. The Art Director will actively participate in brainstorming sessions for campaigns, demonstrating fluidity in UX design across all digital platforms. Collaboration with Motion, VFX, and Video Designers will be essential to enhance the engagement value of digital projects. Additionally, the Art Director will design and set up print layouts for visual merchandising and other print projects, creating compelling website and landing page layouts for campaigns, product launches, and promotions. They will work closely with the ADX team to integrate innovative functionalities into web designs and support E-commerce projects as needed. A strong understanding of the business and industry will enable the Art Director to translate brand needs into unique and compelling creative digital concepts, ensuring that all final work meets internal standards while balancing brand demands with broader team initiatives. Fostering a collaborative work environment is crucial, as the Art Director will inspire team morale and contribute to the overall culture of the Creative team. They will engage in interdepartmental collaboration to see projects through to completion, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the creative process.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 5 years of digital experience in a creative role.
  • Brand-driven approach in all digital and print projects.
  • Demonstrated photography and art direction experience.
  • Ability to produce and drive results across all platforms.
  • Proficient in using programs needed to create digital and print content.
  • High taste level and great aesthetic sensibility.
