About the position

The Art Director (Temporary) at EAB is responsible for planning and executing the art and design of direct marketing materials for higher education clients. This role involves creating effective visual elements for various marketing channels, ensuring production quality, and collaborating with account teams and other creatives to meet client objectives. The position is temporary, expected to last for three months, and reports to the Associate Director of Art Direction.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop understanding of assigned clients, including their history and objectives.
• Create and execute art and design for direct marketing materials such as mail, emails, and social media ads.
• Optimize client response rates by applying direct marketing principles.
• Build emails and landing pages using HTML and CSS.
• Collaborate with account teams, copywriters, and digital specialists to create innovative campaigns.
• Maintain accurate files of creative reference materials for clients.
• Participate in team and creative meetings, focusing on client discussions.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2 years of work experience in a marketing or advertising environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Microsoft Word.
• Knowledge of HTML email design and coding best practices.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with web design and usability.
• Knowledge of print production and postal regulations.
• Familiarity with animation and video design using Adobe After Effects and Premiere.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
